The nominees have been announced for the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce's (BACC) 2016 Business Awards.
The honors will be awarded Jan. 21 at the BACC's Annual Dinner and Scholarship Fundraiser, which will take place at the Stonegate Conference and Banquet Center in Barrington.
Up for Chamber Volunteer of the Year this year are Marianne Guinee, of 4ci Products-Have a Better Life; Suzanne Luby, of @properties|The Luby Group; and Nancy Roach, of Upstream Investment Partners. This award recognizes a chamber member who has made a significant contribution to the chamber through participation in events and activities and other support.
The Community Partner of the Year honors a member business that has shown exemplary dedication to the chamber and the Barrington community. This year's nominees are Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington Bank & Trust, BMO Harris Bank, Barrington Area Council on Aging (BACOA), Heinen’s Grocery Store and Living 60010 Media.
BACC Rookie of the Year nominees are Robin Byk, of INUWINDOWS Window Treatments; Jennifer Laurence, of Butlering and Household Management Consultant; Amber Luczak, of Edward Jones Financial; and Pradeep Shimpi, of Mahogany Builders. This award is presented to a new chamber member who has become actively involved and infused new life into the organization.
Nominees for Small Business of the Year are Douglas Automotive, Elderwerks and Reflections in Glass. In the running for New Business of the Year are 18/8 Fine Men’s Salon, Barrington Behavioral Health, GYM GUYZ, One-Up Automotive and Shakou Sushi.
