A new collaboration will make education more attainable for members of the Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR). Members of the organization will be able to apply for scholarships to the Heller College of Business at Roosevelt University for the Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) degree during the 2017-18 academic year. The scholarships are a result of a partnership between the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate and CAR and will include awards of $1,500 for the first three semesters and $1,000 toward total completion.
The CAR Member scholarships will be available to the first 10 members that are accepted by Heller College of Business for the degree program. Even those who aren’t among the first accepted will benefit from being CAR members, however, as lower tuition rates compared to other graduate real estate programs will also be available.
The MSRE degree includes a specialized curriculum that focuses on key real estate topics and graduation in as little as five semesters. Additionally, four eight-week seminars in technology, writing and business skills will be included at no extra cost.
The program is aimed at providing a comprehensive education rather than an executive education or separate cohort program and will integrate students into scheduled university classes with full-time professors.
