Naperville-based Coriant announced that NTT Communications Corporation will be using the Coriant Groove Network Disaggregation Platform for completing interconnection of data centers in Hong Kong.
As of March, NTT Com was highlighted by Frost & Sullivan as a leading data center service provider for the Asia Pacific region, a fact which Petri Markkanen, managing director of Coriant, spoke about.
"It is no surprise that NTT Communications holds a champion position in the data center market in Asia Pacific," Markkanen said. "They consistently demonstrate best-in-class ICT services across the region, and we are honored to be working closely with them to boost the performance of their high-speed network with the latest advances in coherent optical transmission."
The Coriant Groove G30 Platform has been designed to bring high-speed bandwidth which is programmable, secure and has a low need for power. Additionally, the platform is meant to be economical and still able to support 3.2 terabits of capacity with a 1RU form factor.
DWDM line interface is supported by the platform, making it a highly versatile option.
