Feds chip in $132 million grant for ambitious 75th Street rail project

U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao recently recognized Gov. Bruce Rauner and a number of private and public entities that have worked on the $474 million 75th Street Corridor Improvement Project, which is designed to eliminate a multitude of conflict points in the nation’s “worst rail bottleneck in the country," according to a statement from the governor’s office.
