Commerce Bank Central Illinois Regional President Brent Eichelberger recently joined the Illinois Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Eichelberger was elected to the board during the Illinois Chamber board’s yearly meeting on July 14 in Chicago.
"Brent brings 28 years of banking acumen to the Illinois Chamber's board," Illinois Chamber President and CEO Todd Maisch said. "Combined with his active business and community involvement in the Peoria and Bloomington-Normal areas, Brent will be an asset to the chamber and to the Illinois business sector as a whole."
Eichelberger oversees the bank’s operations in the Bloomington-Normal, Peoria, and Champaign-Urbana regions.
"Commerce Bank believes the bank is only as strong as the communities they serve, and so encourages bank leaders to be involved in those communities," Illinois Chamber Board Chairman Matt Gambs said. "This aligns well with the Illinois Chamber's dedication to active participation throughout the state of Illinois as it works with business for business."
The Illinois Chamber, established as a 501c6 organization beginning in 1919, seeks to encourage and back the success, interests, and prosperity of its various members as well as the members of the Illinois Business community.
