Lynn Pendergrass has been selected to serve as president of hardlines with Sears Holdings Corp., the Hoffman Estates-based company said Monday.
Pendergrass with oversee the Kenmore, DieHard and Craftsman business units and its partners, including Lawn & Garden, Home Appliances, Sears Auto Centers and Tools.
Pendergrass served as Johnson & Johnson's worldwide chairman and oversaw approximately 23,000 employees in 80 countries. She has also previously served as senior vice president and general manager of the printing and personal systems group within Hewlett-Packard and oversaw consumer business with General Electric for 20 years.
"Lynn is a proven executive with deep expertise driving cross-functional alignment, growing market share and delivering on key objectives," Sears Holdings Chairman and CEO Edward Lampert said. "Her range and depth of consumer and product experiences, coupled with her track record of achieving results through diverse teams makes her a strong fit for Sears Holdings as we pursue our member-focused transformation."
Pendergrass currently holds a bachelor's and master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Louisville.
Sears Holdings is an integrated retailer that consists of Kmart and Sears retailers, multiple brands and other specialty retail stores.
