Nordic Energy, the Chicago, Illinois-based alternative retail electric and gas supplier, has partnered with Alpine Energy Systems to offer new services using the company's software.
Nordic Energy will use Alpine's software to manage sales and broker networks, calculate commissions, and run complex risk management and forecasting reports. The company hopes that will drive commercial sales and broker channel satisfaction to an all-time high using Alpine's state-of-the-art portal.
Software features include instant pricing, automatic deal refreshes, downloadable contracts, and detailed reporting on commission payments and account status.
Allan Rudd, a Nordic sales agent, said the response from Nordic's broker community about Alpine's portal has been overwhelmingly positive.
"The manner in which we are able to immediately view refreshed rates in the portal is, in my mind, the best among the portals in the industry and at our pricing desks," Rudd said. "With just one click of the client's name, refreshed pricing is immediate. This ease saves our pricing desk valuable time, and we all know that time is money.”
In addition to features for brokers, Nordic will have access to Alpine's functions for internal use, which include daily roll-up reporting, a contract approval process, and easy operational integration for tasks such as enrollments and billing.
"We designed the system over the last five years to appeal to the broker community in terms of ease of use and simplicity while giving the suppliers the tools needed to have confidence in pricing and margins," Michael Wood, principal of Alpine Energy Systems, said.
