David Joropp and Ilan Napchan have joined Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP as the accounting firm continues to expand its Chicago office.
Koropp is a former Winston & Strawn partner, and Napchan previously was with Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
“Honigman is committed to expanding its footprint in Chicago and we are very pleased to be able to further strengthen our presence in the region with the addition of David and Ilan,” Honigman Chairman and Chief Executive Officer David Foltyn said. “Our ability to attract talent of the caliber of these two partners speaks to Honigman’s excellent reputation and market position in the Midwest.”
Honigman now has more than 300 legal professionals in the Midwest and a growing national client base served by prominent practices in intellectual property, private equity, corporate and securities, real estate and litigation.
Koropp, a trial lawyer, is expected to help improve Honigman’s litigation department. According to Foltyn, Koropp has successfully represented clients in some of their most complex and significant commercial, class-action, antitrust, accounting/auditor liability, real estate and patent litigation matters for 26 years, and has been recognized as one of Illinois’ “Super Lawyers” in the area of business litigation for each of the last 10 years.
