TCF National Bank will expand its number of surcharge-free automatic teller machines (ATMs) in the Chicago, Illinois area by more than 30 percent in the coming months.
The bank will add 71 new cash-only ATMs in area Target stores, as well as 10 additional drive-up ATMs in parking lots of select Jewel-Osco grocery stores.
“Our customers want convenient, round-the-clock access to their money along with the ability to transact and manage their financial accounts," Mark Jeter, executive vice president and managing director of retail banking for TCF Bank, said. "This expansion significantly increases our ability to deliver ATM services to our customers wherever and whenever they need them. This investment in our ATM network further reinforces our commitment to deliver high-quality customer service and convenience.”
With the additional machines, TCF Bank will have more than 360 ATMs throughout the Chicago region and southeastern Wisconsin.
Construction on six of the drive-up ATM machines will begin by year-end. The remaining four parking lot-based machines will be installed by spring 2016, subject to municipal and site approvals.
TCF officials said the new drive-up ATMs will feature advanced transaction capabilities, including the ability to accept cash and check deposits without an envelope. They will prominently feature TCF Bank’s new brand and logo.
The new TCF Bank-branded ATMs in Target stores will be operational by early November.
