Illinois and New Jersey are the latest states that Star Energy Partners will provide service to as part of its recently announced expansion into the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast states.

The newly expanded Illinois service area includes ComEd customers, while the New Jersey service area includes Public Service Enterprise Group and Jersey Central Power & Light customers.

"At Star Energy Partners, we're making it easier for residents and businesses to exercise their right to choose and make confident decisions regarding their energy consumption," Tony Banks, CEO of Star Energy Partners, said.

Star Energy is based in Akron, Ohio where it began operating in 2012. As part of its expansion efforts, the company also moved into Pennsylvania earlier this year.

Banks said customers in Illlinois and New Jersey will now be able to better manage their energy costs through Star Energy Partners' fixed-rate, price-protected electricity supply options.

Star Energy Partners offers a wide range of energy choices for residential and commercial customers, including a variety of contract lengths and traditional or green energy.
