A Tuesday agreement was reached between Merge Healthcare Inc. and Rush-Copley Medical Center to provide Merge PAC, iConnect Access and iConnect Enterprise Archive.
“Having access to a patient’s comprehensive health record is key to helping our clients deliver the highest quality and most cost-effective care to their patients. Merge looks forward to working as Rush-Copley’s technology partner as they continue to streamline their data exchange processes within the Fox Valley region and beyond,” Merge Healthcare Chief Executive Officer Justin Dearborn said.
Officials with Rush-Copley Medical Center said it plans to overhaul its suite of imaging technology to provide solutions that would streamline the process for radiology procedures.
By leveraging Merge PACS and iConnect solutions, Thomas Markuszewski, director imaging services at Rush-Copley Medical Center, said it would be able to access a consolidated view of a patient’s health record, reducing the number of duplicate tests ordered and allowing for more efficient patient care.
“We are continually searching for workflow improvement solutions that provide radiologists with the ability to customize their personal work lists and improve inefficiencies,” Markuszewski said. “We chose Merge Healthcare as our business partner to support us as we move to Stage 2 of Meaningful Use.”
