Chicago-based financial company CNA promoted Liz Aguinaga to the position of senior vice president and chief human resources officer Thursday.
In her new role, Aguinaga is charged with developing strategies and operations for global human resources for the entire company.
"Liz has a proven track record of success at CNA, and I am confident that her deep understanding of the insurance industry, complemented by her excellent leadership skills, make her well suited to lead our quest to become a top-tier employer," Aguinaga's direct supervisor Tom Pontarelli, CNA executive VP and chief administration officer, said.
Aguinaga came to CNA in 2010 as a vice president and human resources business partner. She earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Illinois as well as a Master's degree in human resources from Loyola University.
Aguinaga replaces the retiring Debbie Nutley.
