Peoria, Illinois-based David Vaughan Investments, Inc., (DVI) recently named Stephen K. Hinrichs, CFA director of investment research.
This newly-created position will charge Hinrichs with working alongside the company's chief investment officer to put in place "research priorities and deliverables that will contribute towards superior risk adjusted investment results for DVI’s portfolio of investment strategies," a news release from DVI said.
“DVI’s reputation has been built on being a superior manufacturer of individual security investment portfolios," Brian Christensen, DVI's chief investment officer, said. "We felt the time was right to formalize the structure of our extensive investment research resources, both from a qualitative and quantitative perspective, and Steve was the obvious choice to lead that effort."
Hinrichs has been an associate with DVI since 1998, where he has worked as a portfolio manager and member of the DVI Investment Committee. He became a shareholder in the company in 2013.
“(Hinrichs) is a seasoned investment professional with significant technical skills and capabilities," Will Williams, DVI’s president and CEO, said. "I look forward to the future results under Steve’s leadership in building out our investment research staff.”
DVI began operations in 1977. The company has offices in Peoria, Illinois and Winter Park, Florida.
