OSF Healthcare CEO elected Illinois hospital association board


OSF Healthcare System CEO Kevin Schoeplein was elected to the Illinois Health and Hospital Association's board.  

OSF Healthcare System CEO Kevin Schoeplein recently was elected to the Illinois Health and Hospital Association's (IHA) board of trustees.

The board creates policy for the IHA, an organization representing more than 200 hospitals in Illinois. The IHA and Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council recently joined forces to operate as an integrated organization covering the state.

Schoeplein started his career as assistant administrator at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria in 1978 and worked in various positions before becoming CEO in 2011. He was first appointed to an IHA board position in 2014.

The IHA has several offices in Illinois, as well as one in Washington, D.C., and is dedicated to making quality health care available to all Illinois residents at an affordable cost.
