The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce released a statement last week following Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner's budget address.
In his address, Rauner assessed the severity of the financial crisis faced by many programs in Illinois.
“The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce remains confident that Governor Rauner and the Illinois General Assembly will work together in a bipartisan way to solve Illinois’ fiscal and budgetary issues," the chamber said.
"Chicagoland chamber members and the business community depend on certainty for their success," The chamber said. "Illinois’ elected leaders know they must work together toward developing a thoughtful and balanced budget which includes the necessary reforms to improve our economic climate. The Chicagoland chamber stands ready to collaborate as a partner to achieve our shared vision of growth and prosperity for all of Illinois.”
