SunCoke Energy Inc., based in Lisle, recently said that Andrew Africk and Robert Peiser will be joining its board of directors effective March 7.
Africk will serve on the board's governance committee; Peiser will serve on the compensation committee.
“Bob and Andy bring a wealth of operational and financial expertise to SunCoke, which will augment an already deeply talented board,” SunCoke Chairman, President and CEO Fritz Henderson said. “We look forward to their many contributions to the direction and growth of our company in the years to come.”
Africk has more than 20 years of corporate management experience and is a director of Alliqua Biomedical Inc. He founded Searay Capital LLC, a private investment company, in 2013 and spent two decades before that at Apollo Global Management LLC, an alternative asset management firm.
Peiser has more than 20 years of senior-level managerial experience in multiple industries. He served as chairman and CEO of Omniflight Helicopters Inc., an air medical services provider, and as president and CEO of Imperial Sugar Company. He is currently a director of Standard Register Company and USA Truck Inc.
