Chicago-based Monterrey Security recently was selected to be the official security provider at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis by stadium operator SMG, the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority and the Minnesota Vikings.
As the security provider, Monterrey Security will provide crowd-management services and 24-hour security.
“Monterrey Security is an exceptionally qualified organization,” Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority Chair Michele Kelm-Helgen said. “Monterrey has experience working with stadiums, live events and family attractions. Furthermore, this major contract being held by a minority-owned company keeps our equity focus on the stadium’s operations.”
Monterrey is the largest Latino-owned security firm in the Midwest and is one of the fastest-growing minority-owned security companies in the United States. A majority of the company's workforce is comprised of women or minorities, from executive leadership through entry-level employees.
“We are incredibly excited to serve the people of Minnesota and be a part of the team at this world-class facility,” Monterrey Security President and CEO Juan Gaytan Jr. said. “We are dedicated to providing visitors with a safe and enjoyable experience at every event we work. We also know the importance of creating opportunities for local residents – we don’t just want to give them a job, we want to help them build a career.”
