Microsoft Chicago’s “Voices of Change” blog series recently recognized Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Theresa E. Mintle for her dedication to using technology to drive the economy.
The series celebrates women who empower other women and who have made an impact on their communities through civic engagement and leadership. Mintle authored a blog post shared in the series.
"In today’s business landscape, it’s no longer about whether or not your company is using technology; every business is using technology," Mintle wrote. "It’s about whether or not you’re successfully utilizing the technology available to grow your business and make an impact. The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce recognizes the growing importance of technology, and we know Chicagoland businesses do too – small businesses in particular. The results of our 2016 and 2015 Chicagoland Small Business Outlook Surveys reflect that."
The rest of Mintle's post discussed the emerging trends of technology use in classrooms and working with high school students to help prepare them for the work force.
