Ultra Electronics Holdings and Schaumburg-based Sparton Corporation have awarded subcontracts valued at $53.7 million to their ERAPSCO joint venture to manufacture sonobuoys for the U.S. Navy.

ERAPSCO will provide production subcontracts for $26.1 million to Ultra Electronics USSI and $27.6 million to Sparton De Leon Springs. Production, which will take place at Ultra Electronics USSI’s Columbia City, Indiana, facility and Sparton’s De Leon Springs, Florida facility, is expected to wrap up by September 2017
