The Collinsville Chamber of Commerce recently said Edwardsville-based Scott Credit Union (SCU) has partnered with Kreitner Elementary School in Collinsville and St. James Catholic School in Millstadt to offer protective sleeves for students' Chromebooks.
The credit union presented school representatives with more than 200 laptop sleeves for the student-issued Chromebook.
“This is a great way for Scott Credit Union to play a small role in helping the students protect the technology they are using as they carry the laptops,” SCU Community Relations Representative Cassidy Beck said. “It is exciting for us to be a part of this project, especially at a time when schools in the area need the help the most.”
“When we saw the opportunity to supply the bags, we were happy to help,” Beck said. “We think of Scott Credit Union as an innovative organization and we are excited about playing a small role in helping students when it comes to a technology-related initiative in their educational experience.”
“Credit unions are really about helping people, and this is another way for us to take that even a step further,” Beck said. “It is an honor for us to help students in our local schools.”
