Naperville, township plan to share road district costs has chamber's support

The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce said its legislative committee voted last week to support a cost-sharing proposal between the city of Naperville and the Naperville Township Road District, which will be on the agenda at the annual Naperville Township town meeting at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.


The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce is supporting a cost-sharing proposal between the city of Naperville and the Naperville Township Road District.  

The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce said its legislative committee voted last week to support a cost-sharing proposal between the city of Naperville and the Naperville Township Road District, which will be on the agenda at the annual Naperville Township town meeting at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.

The cost-sharing proposal would help balance the financial responsibilities of both incorporated and unincorporated residents, saving taxpayers an estimated $800,000.

After the committee's vote, the Naperville chamber's board of directors voted unanimously to support the proposal as well.

The chamber is encouraging Naperville Township voters to attend Tuesday's annual town meeting at the Naperville Township Road District Office, 31W331 N. Aurora Road.
