On Tuesday, April 26, representatives of the Evanston Chamber of Commerce, Northwestern University and Oakton Community College will serve on a panel to discuss the ramifications of the ongoing Illinois budget stalemate.
"Illinois on the Brink: A discussion of the state’s budget impasse and its consequences," will be held at 7 p.m. at the Lorraine H. Morton Civic Center in Evanston. The event is open to chamber members and the public and will take place in the Parasol Room.
State Sen. Daniel Biss (D-9th District) will moderate the discussion. Panelists include Therese McGuire, professor of strategy at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University; Bill Stafford, trustee of Oakton Community College; and Mark Weiner, president and CEO of CJE SeniorLife.
