FamilyCore, a Peoria-based nonprofit social service agency, recently released the names of its new board of directors, which includes Jim Steward, the company’s new chief executive officer, succeeding Douglas Allan.
Allan has scheduled his official retirement for the end of April. He will continue working with FamilyCore as a consultant for the company’s new executive chairman.
Seward previously served at the Youth Shelter Care of North Central Iowa Inc. as the company’s executive and clinical director. He has worked in the human services industry for more than 26 years, bringing his experience with him to his new position.
“I am so excited to be here,” Seward said. “I have inherited a wonderful agency, which includes the staff, who does an outstanding job fulfilling FamilyCore’s mission through their self-giving spirit and a beautiful physical plant that has been well taken care of, which allows us to continue the servicing products FamilyCore provides.”
