Brad Ball said last week he is resigning as executive director of Cary Grove Area Chamber of Commerce after serving in that role since 2013.
"Brad helped bring some very good work to the chamber," Chamber President Patrick McEneaney said. "We're glad he has been with us the last few years."
McEneaney said the chamber plans to have a committee begin a search for his replacement soon. McEneaney was also on the 2013 search committee that hired Ball.
During Ball's leadership, the chamber streamlined accounting procedures, created and implemented new financial policies and a procedure manual and also put in place a new tiered membership system. The chamber also founded the growing Cary Main Street Fest event, which is held on the third weekend of September.
"It's been a really great two-and-a-half years," Ball said. "I appreciate the privilege to have worked with many dedicated business professionals, chamber members and community leaders."
Ball will continue working full time with the chamber until a leadership transition strategy is put in place.
