Illinois American Water said Dave Farrar has been appointed senior operations manager of field services and production for the Champaign County District.
Illinois American Water said recently that Dave Farrar has been appointed senior operations manager of field services and production for the Champaign County District.
Farrar, who will be in charge of field operations, production and maintenance in the Champaign County service area, began his career with Illinois American Water in 2007 as a plant operator and has moved up through positions of increasing responsibility. He has 12 years of experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry, including his time with IAW.
Farrar earned a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University and also serves on the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce board of directors.
“I look forward to the leadership and contributions Dave will make in this new role," Illinois American Water Vice President of Operations Mike Smyth said. "The experience he brings will help ensure continued high-quality water service to our customers.”
