Pekin Hospital, ProHealth Medical Group and Progressive Health Systems recently honored employees and volunteers at two events celebrating outstanding service.
The 57th annual Employee Awards Banquet recognized 75 employees that combined have offered more than 1,100 years of service. Individual recipients of the Trust Builder Awards are Dr. Reggie Bowman, Dr. Gordon Cross, Dr. Ben Hanshaw, Dr. Nani Moazzam, Dr. Paul Siebert, Cora Hamilton, Dawn Klaasen, Kelli Severns, Emily Sosey and Shannon Stubbs. Department and practice recipients included food services, materials management, patient financial services, ProHealth pediatrics and the women’s diagnostic center.
More than 130 volunteers were honored at the volunteer luncheon. Volunteers were recognized for donating 19,465 combined hours of service last year to courier services, lobby and information desk services, the pharmacy, radiology and surgical waiting area. The volunteer that donated the most time over the past year was Beulah Snyder with 1,344 total hours. Thelma Johnson was also honored for more than 10,000 lifetime hours of service.
“We are blessed to have so many dedicated employees and volunteers who take pride in serving our patients with courtesy and compassion,” Pekin Hospital Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development Crystal Elliott said. “The annual recognition events allow us to say thank you for their hard work and continued service to our communities.”
