The Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) has appointed Ken Kobiernicki, CPA for Ostrow Reisin Berk & Abrams Ltd. (ORBA) in Chicago, to serve a second term on its employee benefits committee.
Kobiernicki is currently a member of the ICPAS employee benefits conference task force.
The employee benefits committee monitors developments affecting employee benefit plans in the areas of financial reporting, accounting, auditing and federal rules and regulations. The committee meets four times per year with additional subcommittee meetings as needed.
Kobiernicki specializes in employee benefit plans and helps clients with various compliance issues. He manages audits of 401(k) and profit-sharing retirement plans. He also manages audits and monthly accounting matters for private companies such as restaurants, manufacturers and contractors in a variety of industries. He also handles audits for not-for-profit organizations and prepares their tax filings.
