Rival Systems, a trading and risk-management software company, has won the "Best Buy-Side Commodities Trading Platform" award from Waters Technology publication Buy-Side Technology for the firm's Rival Trader and Rival API offerings.
Judges considered a number of features and analytics that distinguish Rival from its competition. Among the notable features are its low latency market-making engine with advanced quoting logic, and automated trading across a wide range of devices.
"We're thrilled to earn Waters' honor of Best Buy-Side Commodities Trading Platform, reinforcing how successful our first year on the market has been," Rival Systems CEO Robert D'Arco said. "We've strived to set ourselves apart not only with unparalleled speed but with transparent latency reporting so clients always know where they stand, innovative features so they can trade intelligently, and a high level of service and support. Our functionality holds particular appeal for firms facing the volatility often inherent in commodities and the complexities of electronic market making."
The Buy-Side Technology Awards recognize leading technologies and vendors for their expertise.
"The BST Awards judging panel selected Rival as the best buy-side commodities trading platform provider based on its ability to support buy-side organizations trading energy, metals and agricultural instruments," Victor Anderson, editor-in-chief of Waters Magazine and Waters Technology, said. "Positive client feedback and the firm's focus on continually enhancing its platforms in terms of connectivity and functionality were also key factors in our decision."
