The city of Peoria Community Development Department launched its new website earlier this month.

PeoriaCodeViolations.com was created to assist property owners and allow them to monitor their property and code enforcement cases with the city. The city has been working for weeks to create daily lists of code violations within Peoria to keep residents informed.

“The creation of this daily list is, in part, based on feedback from landlords and other property owners who have asked for notification when a violation is found at their property," according to an announcement.

The new tool will property owners to easily access and address their concerns on code violations and when they change. They can check daily at the address, which ensures that their property is not contributing to issues in the neighborhood.

This new system was put in place to correct violations and is not a defense for committing violations, according to the announcement.

To report an issue, visit www.peoriagov.org or call 309-494-CARE. For more information, call Assistant Community Development Director Joe Dulin at 309-494-8631.
