Hometown Community Banks has announced the addition of a new Community Banker, Brad Mahony, at the Washington Community Bank. Mahony, who was welcomed to the bank by Washington Manager Matt Moehle in a May 18 announcement, will be offering residential mortgage loans along with deposit products.
Mahony is a native of Washington and graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He began his career in the banking industry at South Side Bank. In addition to being a graduate of the Illinois Bankers’ Association Future Leaders Alliance, Mahony was named one of Peoria Magazine’s “40 Leaders Under Forty” in 2007.
It’s not only business acumen that Mahony brings to Washington Community Bank, as he has dedicated himself to giving back to the community as well. The co-founder and co-chairperson of the Annual Feed the Need Food Drive for WHIP, he played an integral role in obtaining over 30,000 pounds of food. Mahony is also a St. Jude Runner, little league coach and a volunteer at the Lincoln Grade School Library. He is also involved with Connect Church and the Washington Rotary Club. A current board member, Mahony previously served as president of the Washington Chamber of Commerce.
