Insurance brokerage and risk management firm Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. of Rolling Meadows recently acquired retail insurance broker and employee benefits consultancy Williams-Manny Insurance Group of Rockford for an undisclosed sum, Gallagher officials announced.
Williams-Manny serves both individual and commercial clients in northern Illinois, focusing on the construction, manufacturing, higher education and nonprofit sectors, while Arthur J. Gallagher operates a global network of brokers and consultants spanning over 150 nations total.
Under the terms of the recent transaction, Williams-Manny leaders will remain in place at the firm’s respective facilities in the communities of Rockford, Wheaton and Freeport, reporting to Patrick M. Gallagher as head of Gallagher's Midwest retail property/casualty brokerage operations, and John Neumaier as head of Gallagher's Great Lakes employee benefits consulting and brokerage branch.

Williams-Manny dates back to 1896, when it was first established in the city of Rockford, while Arthur J. Gallagher was formed in 1927.
