The University of Illinois will be launching a new online graduate program in strategic brand communication beginning this fall, which will be a joint program with Urbana campus' College of Business and College of Media.
The new program will give students the opportunity to learn how global brand communications in ads, media and marketing increase revenue.
"This degree delivers an innovative combination of topics relevant to and necessary for today's working marketing and communications professionals," Jacqueline Hitchon, professor and head of the university's Department of Advertising, said.
This master's degree program is to be completable in only 15 months, making it an option for individuals who are already integrated in the workforce but wanting to increase their knowledge.
Students will learn how to engage customers through their content, increase results through data analytics, use digital and social media to build a business presence and more. Students will also be exposed to industry workshops, giving them communication opportunities with top executives in the topics of emerging tech, financial management, advertising, consumer experience and other areas.
