Ameren Illinois has been rated as one of the top 15 most trusted brands with business customers, based on a study by Market Strategies International.
Basing its Brand Trust Index on 35 rating questions, Ameren was named 11th on the list for its combination of customer focus, community support, reliable quality, communications effectiveness, environmental dedication and company reputation and advocacy, according to a press release.
"We have worked hard to develop flexible programs that make it easy for our business customers to manage their energy usage and save money," Richard J. Mark, chairman and president of Ameren Illinois, said in the release.
The survey took into account 10,486 businesses and electric combination utility customers among the 60 largest utility providers in the United States and evaluated their level of trust through their innovation, energy management and environmental programs.
"Brand trust is essential for the utility industry's ability to gain customer support for these programs," Chris Oberle, senior vice president of market strategies, said in the release.
