Detroit-based law firm Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP is expanding its offices in Chicago and nearly doubling its office size.
The firm is moving its Chicago offices to the North Wacker Drive location by December to meet its growth in private equity tax, life sciences and litigation practices in the Chicago area.
“Since opening our doors in Chicago in the summer of 2015, we’ve been strategically building our team and growing our presence in the city,” Honigman Chairman and CEO David Foltyn said in the company’s press release. “This new office space allows us to continue our plan for growth and better serve our current and future clients in Chicago, Michigan and other major markets throughout the U.S.”
The firm’s recent hires include Simeon Papacostas, partner in the intellectual property litigation practice; Nathan Wilda, partner in the private equity practice; and Amanda M.H. Wolfman, partner in the complex commercial litigation practice.
“The location, design and increased office count will enhance our ability to continue to attract top talent,” Jason Rosenthal, Honigman’s Chicago office managing partner, said in the press release.
Honigman has offices in Detroit; Chicago; Ann Arbor, Michigan; Bloomfield Hills, Michigan; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Kalamazoo, Michigan; and Lansing, Michigan.
