Illinois-based G&D Integrated says it will meet the growing transportation volume in the southeastern United States by expanding its logistics and transportation services in the region.
The company plans to operate over 100 trucks in the region by the end of next year, according to an announcement.
G&D Integrated will focus on providing full truckload and container drayage services. The expansion will include the ports of Charleston, South Carolina; Savannah, Georgia; and the South Carolina inland ports of Greer and Dillon, according to the company.
"We are committed to supporting the growth in the Southeast with increased transportation and logistics services for our current and future customers," Jeff Cohen, G&D Integrated vice president of transportation, said in a statement.
The company's asset-based fleet is designed to move goods from a wide variety of hubs including ports, rail yards and distribution centers throughout the Southeast Atlantic region, with some reaching into the Ohio Valley and Gulf areas of the U.S., according to the company announcement.
"We are excited about this regional expansion and focus on an area where our track record of success and established expertise will benefit our customers,” Cohen said in the announcement. “Our ability to commit trucking assets allows us to meet demanding service requirements and guaranteed levels of performance."
