The Aventine at Oakhurst North, a 464-unit community in Aurora, is being renovated by JVM Realty Corp.
The community was acquired by JVM in November, according to a press release.
The exterior, apartments and common amenities will be improved during the renovation, and the apartment homes will be improved as tenants move out.
A new paint color scheme, signs, landscaping, fire pit and grilling area, a new location for the dog park, updated pool furniture, new pond fountain and new LED lights in the common areas, as well as the exterior of the buildings will be incorporated through the renovation.
Inside the buildings, paint, soapstone countertops, built-in microwaves, stainless steel and silver mist appliances, vinyl tile flooring and new carpet will be integrated, as well.
"We believe strongly in the long-term health of the suburban Chicago apartment market, and the improvements we're implementing will create exactly the kind of highly amenitized, best-in-class community that can deliver optimized performance and returns in this market," Jay Madary, president and CEO of JVM, said in the release. "These strategic enhancements will add tremendous value to Aventine and should make it the most sought-after community in its submarket."
