Midland National Life Insurance Co. has been included on the 2017 Ward’s Top 50 list of top insurance companies based on its strong financial results, according to a press release.
Ward Group is recognized as a leading organization in terms of rating insurance industry performance, and it selected Midland National for its Top 50 list based on the company’s financial safety, performance and consistency from 2012 to 2016, the release said.
“We are proud to once again to be recognized by Ward’s as one of their Top 50 Life and Health Insurance Companies,” Steve Palmitier, Midland National president and chief operating officer, said “For more than 110 years, Midland National has stood for strength and stability. Being included as a member of this list further validates our company’s ability to meet our obligations to our policyholders.”
Midland National has also received top ratings from Fitch Ratings and A.M. Best. Fitch gave Midland an Insurer Financial Strength rating of A+, which is the fifth highest rating of 19 designations, and A.M. Best maintained the insurer’s A+ rating, the second highest of a possible 15 ratings, based on financial strength, operating performance and its ability to adequately serve policyholders.
