The advertising industry's most well-liked CEO is Richard Edelman of the public relations firm Edelman, according to a study by a business-insights platform.
This National Likeability Study conducted by Owler included 15 million companies and more than 150,000 executives, according to AdAge. These professionals work in many industries, from finance to food and beverage, health care to artificial intelligence.
Edelman beat other creative and marketing professionals. Mihael Mikek, CEO of Celtra, came in second; Mike Lieberman, CEO of Square 2 Marketing was third. Ben Kirshner, CEO of Elite SEM ranked fourth, and David Williams, CEO of Merkle, rounded out the top five.
Owler surveyed 25 industries and found that CEOs in marketing and creative companies topped the list as most popular, AdAge said. These CEOs had an average score of 74.2 out of 100 points.
This isn't the first time that Edelman has been recognized for his work in the public-relations industry. Glassdoor called him the third highest-rated CEO in 2014. He was the most powerful executive in 2013, according to PRWeek, and his firm was the PR Agency of the Decade in 2010, according to the Holmes Report.
