Chicago-based Kroeschell, a designer and builder contractor for mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering, has opened a new 25,000-square-foot warehouse in Peoria.
Kroeschell triples its space with its new warehouse, which will be used for the company’s larger metal fabrication projects and for relocating several employees into permanent offices. According to Kroeschell, the Peoria warehouse will be 20,000 square feet for a fabrication shop and 5,000 square feet for office space.
“Consolidation was a key reason for moving,” Bill Chamber, Kroeschell’s operations division president, said in the company’s announcement. “We had three leases in central Illinois that we were able to consolidate to one. With our entire operation now located in the same building, we have seen communication between teams improve.”
Chambers also said in the announcement that the move will help the company to consolidate its team of employees.
“Our previous office was a suite located in a larger building, making it both difficult to see and access,” Chambers said. “The new location is a standalone facility, and the visibility on Camp Street could not be better. It makes it much easier for customers, employees and suppliers to access.”
Founded in 1879, Kroeschell provides its design-build services for Fortune 500 companies, hospitals, universities and the U.S. Government.
