OSF Saint Francis Medical Center has been named as a top nurse employer in the state by Nurse.org out of nearly 170 hospitals throughout the state.
Nurse.org recently recognized OSF Saint Frances Medical Center as one of the best hospitals for nurses to work in Illinois based on 1,502 reviews by nurses in 169 Illinois hospitals. The reviews showed the medical center’s nurses gave the hospital one of the highest satisfaction rates in the state.
“We’re excited to be able to recognize OSF Saint Francis Medical Center for its wonderful work environment,” Nurse.org product manager Phillip Lee said in a statement. “After surveying over 1,000 nurses in Illinois, it is clear that OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is one of the best places for nurses to work. Over 90% of nurses we surveyed would recommend it to their colleagues.”
Nurses said the “amazing co-workers, excellent benefits, support for education” as well as the flexibility of managers was the reason for giving the medical center a 4.1 star rating. The ratings showed 94 percent of the medical center’s nurses who completed the survey would recommend the hospital as an employer.
Nurse.org uses anonymous opinions from nurses for its reviews, which are based on culture, nurse-to-patient ratios and matters the nurses find important.
