The city of Peoria next month will host the 2017 Neighborhood Banquet to honor the city's accomplishments over the past year.
Neighbors, community organizers and residents can celebrate the work that their fellow Peorians have done to improve the community and support the continued growth of the neighborhood, according to a press release. The banquet will include music and food.
The city of Peoria is also looking for individuals in the community who have exhibited great leadership to be nominated for the Leadership Award. The honor will be presented at the event.
The event will take place from 6-8:30 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Peoria Civic Center.
To nominate a candidate, complete the application and return it the Neighborhood Enhancement Coordinator Terence Acquah at 419 Fulton St., Room 307, Peoria, IL 61602 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tickets for the event are on sale at eventbrite.com or can be purchased at City Hall. Tickets are $20 per person and $175 for a table of 10 and are available until Oct. 25.
