Chicago’s Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage recently acquired the assets of City Point Realty LLC, also based in Chicago.
Former owners of City Point Realty — Dan Merrion, Brian Merrion and Libby Carlson — will stay on as brokers for Coldwell.
"We are looking forward to our agents growing their businesses in new and exciting ways as they leverage Coldwell Banker's comprehensive marketing suite and diverse set of tools,” Merrion, founder and co-owner of City Point Realty, said in a press release.
Over the past year, Coldwell has bought out several other companies throughout Chicagoland, includingCentury 21 McMullen in Northwest Chicago, Groebe Real Estate in Palos Heights, and Chicagoland Realty Services in West Loop.
"City Point Realty is a well-respected and established real estate institution within Chicago,” Fran Broude, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, said in the release. “Through this strategic acquisition, we're able to further bolster our roster of talented agents and strengthen our local city expertise to provide an even higher level of service to our clients.”
Coldwell has over 30 affiliated agents and a Chicago office in Old Town and Lincoln Park. The company is part of the nation’s largest real estate brokerage, NRT LLC.
