Inland Real Estate Acquisitions recently finalized negotiations for its purchase of the 13,000-square-foot Edward-Elmhurst Health Center.

Inland has completed the purchase of the medical office building located about 20 miles west of Chicago in Elmhurst, which is home to Edward Health Ventures operating as Edward-Elmhurst Health.

“Ideally located near Interstate 290 and 294 and across the street from Mariano’s, Edward-Elmhurst Health provides more than 285,000 residents within a 5-mile radius with convenient access to medical care,” Inland Real Estate Senior Vice President Mark Cosenza said in a press release. “The well-established tenant and prime location made this the type of attractive acquisition we are looking for in this asset class.”

According to Inland, the facility serves as medical office space and includes 10 exam rooms, a procedure room, endoscopy suite and four pre/post recovery rooms. The center is also home to physicians' offices, with specialties in family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology and gastroenterology.

Inland Real Estate has assisted in over $45 billion in purchases of retail centers, apartments and single-tenant properties totaling more than $269 million in medical office buildings.
