Sammons Financial Group reflects on past volunteer events

Sammons Financial Group has posted a video on its company YouTube page looking back at volunteer events that employees participated in last year.

“Thank you for giving back to the communities in which we live and work,” reads a statement at the beginning of the video. “Here are a few highlights of your amazing and generous work in 2017.”

Employees spent 7,600 hours volunteering, according to the video. The company shared its resources, donated its time, supported those in need and built stronger communities.

“Thank you to everyone who helped make a difference in the places we call home,” reads another statement in the video. “Without all of you, we could not have made such a positive impact on our communities this past year.”

Among those events featured in the video are the Boulevard food-distribution, volunteers at Deborah’s Place in Chicago and the Special Olympics State Softball tournament,  packaging holiday meals with the American Red Cross in Des Moines, building the 150th home with Habitat for Humanity, and the Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon in Sioux Falls.

In addition to promoting volunteerism, Sammons Financial Group makes charitable donations, and has a gift matching program to help make a difference in the lives of people and animals.
