About 19.7 percent of the 117 degrees and certificates handed out by the Principia College in 2016-17 were to students in Education programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Elsah conferred 23 bachelor's degrees in Education programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Education, General. Data shows the school gave out 23 bachelor's degrees in Education, General, followed by 22 bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General and 11 bachelor's degrees in Environmental Biology.
The college enrolled 479 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
