Cost of college went up for all students at MacMurray College


Tuition and fees rose 3.9 percent for 2017-18 at MacMurray College, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $26,100 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $990 more than the $25,110 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 131 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.8 million and 122 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.14 million.

Including all undergraduates, 552 students used grants or scholarships totaling $7.73 million. Another 502 took out $3.77 million in federal student loans.
