Sugar Grove Chamber of Commerce & Industry issued the following announcement on Jan. 7.
On January 16, 2019, the Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing to discuss the rezoning of approximately 760 acres of property at IL 47 and I-88 from E-1 Estate Residential to PDD (Planned Development District) at the Sugar Grove Public Library, 125 S. Municipal Drive, at 7:00 p.m.
The applicant and owner, Crown Community Development, is requesting PDD zoning to allow the property to be developed with a mix of uses including single family residential, one multifamily residential complex, industrial uses such as manufacturing and warehouse distribution facilities, and commercial uses such as retail, hotels, and restaurants.
This project will include bike paths throughout the development, permanently preserved open space at the creek area and at the wooded area south of Merrill Road, and a two acre park at the new single family neighborhood.
