Gov. J.B. Pritzker was among 18 Illinois residents on Forbes’ 2019 billionaire list, which was released earlier this week.

Worth an estimated $3.2 billion, Pritzker, an heir to the Hyatt Hotel chain, was ranked the 691st wealthiest person in the world.

He was far from the wealthiest Illinois resident, however. That honor goes to Citadel founder Ken Griffin, who is worth an estimated $11.7 billion, putting him at No. 117 on Forbes’ list.

All told, Forbes included 2,153 billionaires from around the world with a combined net worth of $8.7 trillion on this year’s list.

The top spot on the list went to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his family, worth an estimated $131 billion. Microsoft founder Bill Gates was second with $96.5 billion and Berkshire Hathaway Chairman and CEO Warren Buffet came in third with $82.5 billion.
