AbelsonTaylor Director of User Experience Leah Shanholtz has been named to a prestigious list of important women in the health care-marketing field.
MM&M magazine put Shanholtz on its “Women to Watch” list, a precursor to the annual roster of Hall of Femme honorees. MM&M said Shanholtz is one of 20 “aspiring health care commercial and marketing execs who are impacting the medical, marketing and media industry.”
“Shanholtz has been instrumental in strengthening AbelsonTaylor’s reputation as a major force in the digital space. Since joining the agency, she has helped expand its UX service offerings to meet the needs of its broad base of health-care clients. In six short years, her work has earned her three promotions,” according to the MM&M website.
Chicago-based AbelsonTaylor is the world’s largest independent health-and-wellness advertising agency.
“Most recently, Shanholtz spearheaded the addition of the agency’s usability testing capability — an essential tool for validating and reinforcing its creative and strategy recommendations that has become a competitive differentiator,” reported MM&M. “As she aggregates the data across years of usability-testing results, Shanholtz is compiling a library of results to share her [point of view] on UX best practice across the health-care industry.”
According to LinkedIn, Shanholtz started at AbelsonTaylor as a senior user-experience designer in September 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design from Columbia College in Chicago.
“Colleagues say her expertise, attention to detail, rapid career growth, generous nature and commitment to mentoring exemplifies the next generation of creative leaders,” MM&M wrote.
When it launched in 1966, MM&M was known as Medical Marketing & Media. Its publisher is UK-based Haymarket Media Group, an independent firm.
