Graduates earn 5,348 degrees, certificates from Illinois State University


About 21.4 percent of the 5,348 degrees and certificates handed out by Illinois State University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Normal conferred 1024 bachelor's degrees and 99 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general marketing/marketing management. Data shows the school gave out 244 bachelor's degrees in general marketing/marketing management, followed by 203 bachelor's degrees in general agriculture and 197 bachelor's degrees in general finance.

The university enrolled 20,784 students for 2017-18, including 18,330 in undergraduate programs and 2,454 in graduate programs.
